RX BANDITS RELEASE
"Rx Bandits is a four-piece band based in Seal Beach, California. The band formed in 1995 in Orange County, California. They have appeared on the Vans Warped Tour, at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, and at The Bamboozle.

Originally known as The Pharmaceutical Bandits, the band began their career by participating in the third wave ska revival of the 1990s. In 1997, they released Those Damn Bandits, which featured guest appearances by Jimmy the Robot of the Aquabats and Chris Colonnier of Jeffries Fan Club and The Forces of Evil. Noting the Bandits' potential, a Los Angeles Times review of the album said "Now comes a young, talented ska band, the Pharmaceutical Bandits. It would be OK with me if the Grinch spared them but swiped their ska records and left a shelf of Who, Clash, Bob Marley, Elvis Costello and Neil Young."[1] Matt Embree and Chris Tsagakis attended Los Alamitos High School, which was an incubator for other third wave ska bands such as Reel Big Fish, Save Ferris, and The Scholars."

"A banda foi formada em 1996 em Orange County, Califórnia. Inicialmente conhecidos como The Pharmaceutical Bandits, em 1997 lançaram independentemente Those Damn Bandits, a banda ganhou uma reputação. Quando a banda assinou com a pop/punk Drive-Thru Records, encurtou seu nome para Rx bandits e lançaram três álbuns, “Halfway Between Here And There”, “Progress”, e “The Resignation”. Seu quinto álbum, “…And The Battle Begun”, foi lançado pela Mash Down Babylon Records, selo do líder da banda, Matt Embree.

Eles excursionaram com varias bandas da Drive-Thru como New Found Glory, Something Corporate e Finch, bem como The Bloodhound Gang, Reel Big Fish, The Format, Polysics, DESA, Catch 22, Big D and the Kids Table, The Starting Line, Days Away, Men, Women & Children, I Am The Avalanche, Nurses, The Exit, Slow Gherkin, Gym Class Heroes, The English Beat e Keziah Jones and Fayuca.

Eles também tocaram no Vans Warped Tour, Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, Hofstra University’s Music Fest 2007 e The Bamboozle."
